The
grade of Member shall consist of persons approved
by Council who are at lest 21 years of age and
of such commercial and professional reputation
that the nominee shall satisfy at least one
of the following conditions: |

Have previously held a Motor Vehicle Repair
Industry Council Loss Assessor’s Certificate:

|
| |
Being a person precluded by reason of sub paragraph
(i) above but who in the opinion of the Council
possesses such other special qualifications
and experience as it is deemed satisfactory
by the Council or shall have passed such examinations
as prescribed by the council in its absolute
discretion. |

Provided
however that no person may be elected a Member
of the Institute under sub paragraph (ii) above
unless seven day’s notice of the motion
to elect him to Membership shall be sent to
every member of the Council and unless three
fourths on the members present thereof present
and voting at the meeting considering the motion
to vote in favour of the motion. |

The
grade of Associate shall consist of persons
approved by the Council who area t least 30
years of age and of such commercial and professional
reputation that the nominee shall satisfy one
of the following conditions: |

Having been a Member of the Institute for two
years and had at least five years’ experience
as n accident assessor or claims adjuster of
which three years shall have been associated
with accident assessing or shall have passed
and examination required by the council. |

Being a person precluded by reason of sub paragraph
(i) above but who in the opinion of the Council
possesses such other special qualifications
and experience as it is deemed satisfactory
by the Council or shall have passed such examinations
as prescribed by the council in its absolute
discretion. |

nominee for advancement to the status of Fellow
shall be at least 35 years of age and of such
commercial and professional reputation that
they shall satisfy at least one of the following
conditions: |

Shall be an Associate of the Institute for at
least five years proceeding their application
and shall have had at least ten years’
experience in the Insurance field or have been
closely associated with the legal or engineering
professions as a claims adjuster or accident
assessor for at least seven years and has conspicuously
contributed to or is eminent in any of the above-mentioned
professions as is deemed satisfactory by the
Council or shall have passed such examination
as prescribed by the Council at its absolute
discretion. |
